Hidden Gems: The Corson Building Revisited
I originally posted this before the pandemic, and have revised it here to highlight some of the changes and improvements that the Corson Building has made in the ensuing years. But one thing that hasn't changed is the quality of the experience you will enjoy at this exceptional venue. The Corson Building is one of our very favorite places. It has an intimate, rustic French Provincial vibe in an urban setting, right in the heart of of Seattle's Georgetown district, for an ove

The 25 Best Albums of 2025
Is it over yet? Not quite? Well, one thing's for sure. For better or worse, it was a heckuva memorable year. And a pretty amazing one, musically. During difficult times, people show their true colors, and in 2025, musicians of all genres came up with some of the most heartfelt, life-affirming music of their careers, and some of the best, most soulful tunes these ears have heard in quite some time. Here is my list of my favorite albums of the year:

About That Bass
I bought my first bass guitar in college. I always loved the sound of a bass guitar and the feel of rock-solid bass that hits you right in the gut. When I started deejaying in clubs, I worked with whatever sound systems I could plug into, big or small. I didn't care much; I was just thrilled to be gigging! "A Complete Unknown" Is A Perfect Movie
By Kevin Olson Timothee Chalamet was nominated for Best Actor for his perfomance as Bob Dylan Last among my friends, I finally watched the Bob Dylan documentary "A Complete Unknown" last night. Like all good things in life, it was well worth the wait, although I'm now asking myself the question, "Why did I wait so long?" I'll admit I've been a Dylan fan since I listened to a borrowed copy of 'Blonde On Blonde' the summer before my Senior year in high school. I was already int

Is Your DJ also an MC?
By Kevin Olson Microphone skills can make or break your event. Does your DJ have the chops? First, for those unfamiliar, let's clarify the terms. DJ (or deejay) stands for Disc Jockey, while MC (or emcee) stands for Master of Ceremonies. Although they work together, their roles differ. Frequently, when you hire a DJ for your event, that DJ is also expected to act as the MC, meaning one individual is typically responsible for both playing music and communicating verbally with
