Stuart-Brandenburger wedding featured in current issue of Seattle Metropolitan Bride & Groom mag
The wedding of Jen Stuart and Will Brandenburger, which took place at The Corson Building in Georgetown on August 8, 2015, is featured in the Winter/Spring issue of Seattle Metropolitan Bride & Groom magazine. Disco Royale was honored to provide the music for the entire event, and we could not have felt better about how everything went. First off, the weather was cool. One of those rare August days where you don't break a sweat. Jen walked down the aisle to Pachelbel's Canon in D under a light afternoon drizzle, which gradually gave way to patches of sun as cocktail hour commenced (Moscow Mules were the featured beverage). As evening descended, an air of midsummer magic was felt by all. Jen and Will danced to Otis Redding's "That's How Strong My Love Is" for their first dance, and the dance party was off and running. The party playlist was a tasty mix of old and new, with Macklemore, Miley and Madonna blending nicely with Bruno, Biggy and The Beatles. The surprise of the evening was a late impromptu request for "Hold On" by Wilson Philips, which Jen's sisters performed karaoke-style to the delight of everyone, before the whole group departed for the afterparty at Nine Pound Hammer to the strains of Nikki Minaj's "The Night is Still Young".
This was the second time I've had the privilege of working at The Corson Building, and both weddings have been transcendent. Many thanks go out to all the amazing vendors involved: Matt Dann of Corson and his second-to-none staff; Tara Lee from Sugarcomb; and Ryan Flynn Photography, to name just the three I worked closest with. For my part, being up in this swell party along with my musical co-pilot DJ EZ Action was one of the highlights of 2015. I can only hope to be lucky enough to work at The Corson Building in the future-- truly a special venue.
